JULY 30, 2005

FORMER LRFC ASSISTANT CHIEF BATTLING BLAZES IN COLORADO

Evergreen, Colorado

On Saturday, July 30, 2005, a veteran Lawrence Road Fire Co. firefighter helped conduct a live fire training exercise in Colorado.

It was on that date that about 25 members of Evergreen Fire/Rescue from Evergreen, Colorado, traveled to Denver to train using the burn building at the Denver Fire Department's fire academy.

The all-day event was a chance for Evergreen firefighters to practice their fire attack skills, with an emphasis on radio communications, team building, team leadership, and rapid intervention team operations.

Helping teach the class was Evergreen's training captain, Jim Pidcock.

Pidcock is a life member and past assistant chief of Lawrence Road Fire Co. who moved to Colorado in 1999. Pidcock, who joined Lawrence Road Fire Co. in 1985, was one of Station 22's most active members prior to his move out West.

The officers and members of Lawrence Road Fire Co. want to congratulate our old friend on his success in Colorado, and wish both he and his colleagues at Evergreen Fire/Rescue only the best.
